The Type of Charcoal and Its Uses
Charcoal is a black residue containing impure carbon produced by removing water content and volatile components from animals or plants. Charcoal is generally obtained by heating wood, sugar, bones, and other objects. There are various types of charcoal based on raw materials and their uses as below :
Wood charcoal is made from wood which is still good and has not decayed. In daily life wood charcoal is usually used for cooking fuel. But in the health sector it is usually used as a water purifier.
Sawdust charcoal is made from waste wood production which is then burned to produce charcoal. Sawdust charcoal can be used for fuel and as a fertilizer mixture.
Husk charcoal is made from rice husk obtained from rice mills. Husk charcoal can be used as fertilizer, raw material for briquettes and as a planting medium. But it is very rare for briquettes to use raw materials from husk charcoal.
Coconut Shell Charcoal
Coconut shell charcoal is made from an old coconut shell. Because it is denser and has less water than the young coconut. Coconut shells will be burned to produce black powder. This powder will be used as raw material for briquettes for shisha and BBQ.
